SkyDox, a leading provider of cloud-enabled file sharing, file synchronization, file storage, and collaboration tools, will be exhibiting today at the London Web Summit being held at The Brewery in the City of London.
The London Web Summit combines the two largest web & start up conferences in the UK & Ireland, GeeknRolla and the Dublin Web Summit. This year the Summit, which is held over the course of one day, will have over 50 speakers and 1,000 attendees, including senior executives from technology giants like Microsoft, Skype, Paypal, and Twitter as well executives from the venture capital and private equity companies such as Accel Partners and Menlo Ventures.
“It’s a real honor to be selected from hundreds of startups across Europe and be invited to showcase our businesses to a senior audience of technology and investment professionals,” said Ali Moinuddin, SkyDox CMO. “The event will allow us to meet our peer group and exchange ideas and concepts around building successful businesses that service customer requirements for Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 applications, platforms, and services.”
SkyDox has built a platform that goes beyond basic file sharing and collaboration offered by other tools available today. It enables users to co-author and manage and collaborate on files in the office, remotely, and through mobile devices. It delivers a range of social business tools such as activity feeds, presence indicators, and activity alerts to let users know when materials are uploaded or modified as well as when new comments are posted. In addition, SkyDox also allows users to host online meetings.
SkyDox users can assign folder and file level access rights and permissions to prevent confidential files from being downloaded or passed on to another party without authorization. The ability to track file access at a page level also allows users to determine if and when the file was opened, with whom it was shared, and which pages attracted the most interest. The platform supports over 200 file types, including the popular productivity applications such as, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel & the Acrobat Creative Suite files.
“Since launching, we have achieved considerable traction in the enterprise sector and can count Fortune 500 companies and other notable companies as customers. We will take the opportunity to provide free extended trials for startups attending the event to help reduce their operational overheads as they start to build their businesses,” concludes Moinuddin.
